Michele Rayner Is The Future of Florida

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – Michele Rayner-Goolsby is a civil rights attorney and a justice warrior, but her most coveted title is public servant. Raised in Pinellas County, the Florida trailblazer currently represents Florida House District 70. The first weekend in December, Democrats gathered in Orlando to chart the course for leadership in the sunshine state. As a demonstration of her illustrious charisma, Rep. Rayner brought the house down during a panel moderated by former attorney general candidate Sean Shaw. Rep. Rayner gave impassioned remarks about the role of service and its intersection with politics.

Michele Rayner Is Running For Congress

Rep. Michele Rayner is no stranger to making history. Her parents integrated the University of South Florida and she is the first openly queer black woman to ever be elected to the Florida Legislature. Since being elected in 2020, her career has catapulted to the stratosphere. She has relentless determination to advance a political agenda focused on breaking cycles of poverty and violence. Our local nightly news anchors lead every broadcast with gun violence and traffic accidents. On the contrary Rep. Rayner does not ascribe to the media’s singular definition of violence. For Michele, poverty is violence; an underfunded school is violence; homophobia, gaslighting, denial of healthcare, the school to prison pipeline, microaggression, and corporate greed is violence. To put it simply,

Michele Rayner is running to make our community safe and free of violence.

Government Is Supposed To Serve

It is not OK for Floridians to decide whether to pay their rent or pay for medications. Likewise Florida families work harder than ever for poverty level wages. Michele Rayner is running to serve the people of Florida because all Floridians deserve the freedom to be healthy, prosperous, and safe. Her future in politics is bright and Rep. Rayner is one to watch in 2022.
